Sonning Golf Club lies in the heart of Berkshire on the A4 between Maidenhead and Reading. The course was designed and opened for play in 1911 by J H Taylor who won The Open Championship five times.

The course measures 6,366 yards and has a par and standard scratch of 70. The course is easy to walk with tree-lined fairways and is fondly remembered by all who play it. Sonning plays longer than its yardage due to the elevations of several greens and fairways and although originally a heath land course, there is now an abundance of mature trees and shrubs all around the course.
