Competition Rules and Terms and Conditions

The PPG Golf Masters is run by PPG Architectural Coatings UK Limited (CRN 00436135) whose registered office is at

Huddersfield Road, Birstall, Batley, West Yorkshire, WF17 9XA (PPG).

The PPG Golf Masters prizes shall be provided by PPG Architectural Coatings UK Limited (CRN 00436135) whose registered office is at Huddersfield Road, Birstall, Batley, West Yorkshire, WF17 9XA.

The Tournament Organiser is XSEM LIMITED (CRN 04654429) whose registered office is 3 Bowling Green Terrace, Holbeck, Leeds LS11 9SP.

The PPG Golf Masters will be played in accordance with the rules of golf as laid down by the R&A. The competition will be a Stableford format. Please see below for an explanation of Stableford scoring.

Distance measuring devices (not slope) are allowed for competitors use.

The maximum handicap index limit for men is 24.4, for ladies it is 28.4. The handicap allowance will be 95% of the competitor’s course handicap. Lady golfers will play off their own handicap off the ladies card. We reserve the right to validate handicaps against any club or society membership. If handicaps given for PPG’s competition are not a true reflection of your current handicap it will be at the discretion of the organiser if you will be disqualified.

Players will be notified of the acceptance of their RSVP by email. Players will receive their tee time and a full itinerary two weeks prior to the event.

Regional events will be played between April 30th and July 11th 2024.

In the event that play is not possible on the day of the regional event, the Tournament Organiser has the right to settle the competition in any way deemed fit.

PPG Golf Masters reserve the right to change the regional venues and closing date of any round at any time without prior notice.

PPG members of staff (including any past members of staff playing as a guest of a customer) are eligible to win the charity nearest the pin if they pay to enter this competition but are ineligible to win any other prizes available on the day, including the hole in one competition.

If you wish to play as a fourball where all players are from the same company, then, unfortunately, you will not be eligible to win 1st, 2nd or 3rd prizes.

The hole in one competition will take place on a selected par 3 hole which is a minimum distance of 150 yards from the yellow tees. The selected hole will be confirmed in the rules briefing on the day of the event. To be eligible to win this prize players must not be a professional golfer, the hole in one must be witnessed by a PPG member of staff and only the players first shot is eligible for the prize. Should a player record a hole in one on the hole specified by PPG as the hole in one hole they will be awarded £20,000 cash*.

Players must be aged 18 or over. PPG Architectural Coatings customers must hold a valid, live, open account with sales in the last 12 months on this account, opened prior to January 2024. Customers are only permitted to play in one regional event.

*For the Concra Wood event, the hole in one prize can be offered in Euros.

There is no cash or other alternative for any prize awarded under the competition. Prizes are not transferable and no part or parts of the prizes may be substituted for other benefits, items or additions. The prizes are not redeemable for cash.

The company reserves the right at any time to cancel, modify or supersede the competition in whole or in part and without prior notice or compensation.

By submitting an entry, participants will be deemed to have given their consent to appear in publicity material or other promotional activities related to the competition, which may include the taking of photographs.

The business's details and those of its attendees will be disclosed to our selected third party events agency for the purpose of administering the competition and be a legitimate interest for the personal data processing activities associated with the competition.

Stableford Scoring

Each player plays against the par of each hole and receives points according to how he scores in relation to par. The scoring system is as follows:

 

2 or more over par ‐ 0 points

1 over par ‐ 1 point

Par ‐ 2 points

1 under par ‐ 3 points

2 under par ‐ 4 points

3 under par ‐ 5 points

The score is the nett score for each hole dependent on the player's handicap. The allowance for the competition is 95% of the player's course handicap which will be given from their handicap index. Handicap index is capped at 24.4 for men and 28.4 for women. The net score is calculated by taking strokes at the appropriate hole using the stroke index shown on the card.

Dress Code

Entrants to the PPG Golf Masters are expected to wear appropriate golfing attire whilst on course and in the clubhouse.

 

Personal Conduct

Individuals will be responsible for their own conduct. PPG will take no responsibility for situations arising from inappropriate conduct outside of the organised event itinerary.
